장소는 어떤 특정한 장소를 표방하는 것이 아닌 작가와 주변인의 삶이 행해지는 지극히 일상적인 비장소를 인물을 포함한 이미지로 기록하고, 그 위에 디지털 형태의 궤적을 그려 재구성해 표출된다. 기록 이미지 속 비장소들은 더 이상 그냥 통과되어 스쳐 지나가는 장소 아닌 장소가 아니라 개인에게 명확한 현실 세상에서의 정체성을 증명, 제공하는 특별한 장소가 되고 이를 통해 장소로서의 의미를 취함으로써 상호 의미를 주고받는다. 이미지 위에 그려진 디지털 형태들은 물리적 세상과 디지털 세상의 경계를 교란하고, 하루에도 수백 개의 웹 브라우저를 경험하며 익명성 아래 반복해서 소멸과 생산을 일상으로 경험하는 현대인들에게 특별한 장소의 의미로 강조되기 위한 장치이다. 현재 비현실적인 일상에 익숙해지며 비현실적일수록 현실적인 현시대에 물리적 세상 속 비장소를 탐험하고, 새로운 의미로 변환시키는 것은 개인이 실제의 존재를 명확하게 지각하기 위한 필수적 행위이다. The work explores non-places in the physical world and attempts to suggest new meanings to them in the present age as people become accustomed to a daily life that is filled with unreal constructs such as the virtual world, which has seemingly become a special place for people to experience hundreds of web browsers, work and other activities under anonymity. With the digital forms drawn on the images as trajectories that disrupt the boundaries between the physical and digital possibilities of non-places, the work attempts to question our perception of existence and reality.
