     ‘연장전’은 홈런의 2부 영상으로, 두 개의 것들이 연결되면서 발생하는 존재의 탄생을 상상하는 여정이다. 아빠와 딸,바다와 육지, 여자와 남자의 목소리, 안과 밖, 위에서 아래로, 판소리와 랩 등 다른 것들이 영상에서 대칭으로 등장하고,  접합 되면서 새로운 형태의 이미지가 발생한다. 다른 색과 형태의 도형이 합쳐져 노이즈가 가득한 알 수 없는 에너지를 방출하기도 하고, 두 개의 손이 접촉하여 그 속에서 말하는 꽃을 생성하기도 하는 등 접합은 새로운 존재들을 탄생시킨다.

     이런 이상한 접합이 발생하는 세계가 화면을 통해 현실과 가상을 연결하는‘게이트’로 현실에 다시 접합된다. 현실과 가상이 빠르게 뒤섞이는 현시대에 게이트는 비현실적인 순환에서 태어나는 것들을 현재의 위치에서 선명하게 관찰할 수 있게 하며 미래의 어느 순간 가상의 존재들과 공존할지도 모르는 순간을 상상하게 한다. (작가 노트)

  Extra Innings is a conceptual continuation of the earlier work Home Run—a second chapter that imagines the birth of new existence through the merging of two distinct entities. In this video, opposites appear in symmetrical relation: father and daughter, sea and land, female and male voices, inside and outside, above and below, pansori and rap. These pairings merge within the visual field to produce unfamiliar forms—geometric shapes colliding and emitting noisy energy, hands touching to form a talking flower, and other hybrid entities that emerge through connection.

   This surreal landscape becomes a speculative ‘gate’—a visual metaphor linking reality and virtuality. In our present moment, where the boundaries between real and digital collapse rapidly, the gate allows us to observe the strange, looped rhythms of this entanglement with clarity. The work invites viewers to imagine a future in which we may coexist with these unreal forms—entities born not from nature, but from the act of digital convergence.
